The JoomAlphaUserPoints Plugin went through a short test run in the german forum, together with the MVC version of Joomgallery. With the relaease of JoomGallery 1.5.0.4, it is possible to use it with current stable version as well.

The Plugin allows the integration of the powerful "point assignment" component AlphaUserPoints into JoomGallery. In the current version you can assign points for the uploading of images, commenting of images, and voting (or subtract points during Upload).

The XML files for setting AlphaUserPoints rules are already included. First, please unpack the Zip file after download, and upload the AlphaUserPoints XML files. The second Zip file found within the downloaded Zip is the actual plugin, to be installed and activated as usual with the Joomla Installer and Extension Manager.

With this Plugin it will no longer be necessary to edit the JoomGallery files after each update in order to use AlphaUserPoints with Joomgallery.

Also, you can now download the Mini-Plugin "JoomSmileys". It will be interesting for those of you who like to use their own set of custom smileys in Joomgallery (for example, because custom smileys are already used in the rest of the site). The Plugin can swap the JoomGallery standard smileys with your custom set, and also add additional smileys.
