It's time for a new extension of JoomGallery:

The small plugin called 'JoomAutoCat' automatically creates a new category in JoomGallery whenever a new user is registered in Joomla! and assigns this user to the category.

Thereyby the category is named like the username of its owner.

Update: With the BETA 2 of the plugin, it is possible to automatically create categories for users who are already registered, too.

In the plugin manager, you can specify a parent category in which the categories will be created. Additionally you may choose the access level of the new categories and decide whether they shall be published from the start.

You can download the plugin here and install it with the Joomla installer on your site, but please don't forget to activate it in the plugin manager.

its nice and sofar works without problems. maybe this could be implemented in the gallery itself instead of a plugin.
anyway .. good job!

we really need to be able to restrict certain userid's from having gallerys... like admins.
