As announced previously, today we are publishing the BETA 1 version of Joomgallery.

We give no guarantee whatsoever regarding the functionality and applicability of the BETA1 version used at production sites, and will not give support for such use.

In this stage of development the presence of bugs in the Joomgallery code is likely and normal. Therefore, we can not be held responsible for any kind of damage which may result from the use of Joomgalley BETA

Your contributions will help us to develop a stable version shortly.

Due to the fact that we concentrated on working on the code, extensive documenation is not yet available for JoomGallery at this point. Initially, we will publish articles in the in the FAQ section that deal with a number of key issues. Later on there will also be a complete documentation.

The estimated date of publishing the first BETA version of the new JoomGallery is the 20th of July.Then you can download the code.

At the moment the BETA1 is in internal testing phase and we are confident of meeting the deadline. As you can see by the name the BETA1 is a testing version at all. By publishing the BETA1 we await a manifold feedback from the community which shall help us to develop the STABLE version.

Publishing the BETA1 will be a request to all users for a public testing. The BETA1 should in no case be used on an active site! Therefore we refuse any guarantee regarding the functionality and applicability of the BETA1 used at active sites and in this case there will be no support from our side.

The BETA1 will run with Joomla 1.0.x as well as with Joomla 1.5.x., but with Joomla 1.5.x only in legacy mode. A native version will follow. The BETA1 substantially contains the features and innovations mentioned in the roadmap. Further information you will find in the publishing post on 20th of July.
