Since we added a some features over the last couple of weeks and we didn't want you to wait, we decided to put out another RC before releasing JoomGallery 1.5 Stable.
Many thanks to all of you for your feeback in the forums. As always, this has been a great help identifying and fixing bugs.
A detailed list of all bugfixes and modifications can be found in the changelog: 'adminstrator/components/com_jommgallery/changelog.php. One of the new features is called "Integrated Module Positions"
The ability to display information in different positions within JoomGallery has long been suggested as a feature by many users. Our solution was to integrate requests to standard Joomla modules in the JoomGallery code.
For now, there's a total of four of such postions:
- jg_top: displays on all JoomGallery pages, right above the pathway
- jg_btm: displays on all JoomGallery pages, right above the credits
- jg_detailbtm: displays in Detail View only, below the detail image.
- jg_detailpane: displays in Detail View only, below the image details (with accordion activated inside a slider).
Example on how to position the "JoomImages" module in the "jg_detailbtm" position
In the backend, enter the desired position into the select box.

Result: The module displays below the detail image:

We will add a more detailed article on the possibilities of this feature shortly. We definitely plan to add more module positions in the future.
Upgrading: Before using the update component to upgrade to this version, please make sure that you have JoomGallery 1.5 installed, as this upgrade process is only suited for JoomGallery 1.5 BETA oder RC versions.
Do NOT, under any circumstances, try to use the update component to upgrade from JoomGallery 1.0.0.
Once JoomGallery 1.5 Stable has been realeased, we will offer a separate upgrade option for JoomGallery 1.0.0.
