Here you will find an overview of the planned functions of the next version of the JoomGallery. When the new functions are integrated there will be created a BETA for testing in our team.
After successful testing we will publish a productive version. The roadmap is based on the wishes of the user and the ideas of the team.
Thus there will be continuous modifications of the roadmap. We will not give any time data and deadlines of readiness.
We will check how the functions can be integrated best into the JoomGallery.

JoomGallery
CSS
Transfer of all Inlinestyle definitions in CSS files. These will be loaded according to the view in the gallery.
Folders/Categories
Pictures will not be placed in a single folder on the server any more, but according to the category into a subfolder
Upload
GD and GD2 and also the ImageMagick Suite (convert) can be used to create thumbnails if they is supported by the server/provider. The availibilitywill be shown in the backend.
optimized function for the upload which allows a faster creation of the thumbnails in GD2 and resulting in shorter runtimes of the scripts.
Java Applet for the backend upload. Among other upload methods a Java Applet shall be available and a multiple choice shall be possible. Thus zipping (batch upload) respectively a previous FTP upload of several pictures is no longer necessary.
Usercategories
At the frontend the user can create own categories. At the backend the administrator for example can limit the number of categories.
